"Parizhskaya Kommuna" creates a retail sales net network in Petersburg

At the end of July in Petersburg the first shop belonging to Moscow footwear company "Parizhskaya Kommuna" was launched. "Parizhskaya Kommuna" (Moscow) is going to open a network of footwear shops in Saint Petersburg.
Until the end of 2002 two shops will open in Saint Petersburg, and in 2003 three more shops belonging to "Parizhskaya Kommuna".
The company is planning to sell in Saint Petersburg 8-10% of all the
manufactured footwear. At present OAO "Parizhskaya Kommuna" owns a network of 36 footwear shops, 14 of which are situated in Moscow. In 2003 the company plans to increase its own sales network up to 46 shops.
OOO "Parizhskaya Kommuna - Footwear SPb" is established by OAO "Parizhskaya Kommuna" (75% shares) and OOO "Lenobuv" (25%). OAO "Parizhskaya Kommuna" is planning to invest 8 million rubles into it's network in Saint Petersburg.
In the shop ob Muchnoy lane one can buy footwear for the whole family. The prices are 300 - 2000 rubles. During the first days after the opening a 15 per cent discount is valid. According to the general director of OOO "Parizhskaya Kommuna - Petersburg" Vladimir Gorodny, the company is having talks with Labor and Social Protection Committee of Saint Petersburg administration about selling cheap footwear to the orphanages and boarding houses for the elderly at 150-200 rubles per pair.
Vladimir Gorodny earlier worked at "Skorokhod" and was general director of the first joint venture in Leningrad called "Lenwest".
"Parizhskaya Kommuna", unlike "Skorokhod", managed to adapt to new market conditions.
