The German firm "Evimex" announced its readiness to acquire 48% stock of the Belorussian-German joint venture "Belwest". Once successful JV is undergoing a difficult period - 12 year old equipment has become obsolete both physically and morally. Footwear, once in great demand with foreign consumers, is rapidly losing its popularity even on the internal market.
One of the reasons of such a situation is absence of attention on the part of the present German founder - firm "Salamander", which is currently not engaged in footwear production. More active and interested investor would help the enterprise to preserve not yet completely lost positions and return the trust of consumers.
As for "Evimex" company, being a co-founder (together with enterprise "Marko") of the Belorussian-German OOO "Evimar", on the Belorussian market it is known as producer of accessories and lasts for footwear, produced by Marco.
