A division of the sports footwear factory AO "Bashkelme" (Meleus, Bashkortostan)producing footwear glue for its own neds, has begun to sell part of its production to the other enterprises. Five types of glue are being manufactured, and they are in great demand among shoe makers all over Russia. Polyurethane-based glue has been put into production for manufacturing pneumatic boats. The design capacity being 790 tons a year, the glue shop produces 50-60 tons a month, of which 10-15 tons are shipped to AvtoVAZ (the biggest Russian producer of cars). Currently AO "Bashkelme" division is organizing glue production for labels.
