Two long-term investment projects start at "Trud" - Gomel Republican footwear unitary enterprise. According to the Republic embassy's press service report they are included in the National program of attracting investments to the Republic Belarus' economy for 2002-2010. Within the framework of the projects it is planned to organize manufacture of special footwear for various branches of industry and military departments.
Two joint ventures are being established on the basis of Trud.
The investors of the first business project became Russia's ZAO "Stetskevich", situated in Minsk and scientific and manufacturing enterprise "Adamantan" from Moscow region.
Their joint investment amounts to more than half a million dollars. At the first stage it is planned to produce annually 165 thousands pairs of special (working and military) shoes.
The investors of the second business projects are ZAO Moderam from Saint Petersburg and non-commercial partnership "Directorate on introduction of means of individual protection" at the Saint Petersburg Mayor's office Labor Department. By 2006 this joint enterprise plans to increase fivefold the output of boots, high boots, boots produced by nail and casting method.
