At the request of the Russian Union of Leather Manufacturers (RULM) Federation Council of Russia has forwarded an appeal to the Belarus National Meeting and the Prime Minister asking to bring export duties for cattle raw hides in the Belarus Republic into accord with the Russian export duties (500 euro per 1 ton). According to our sources, the duty rate currently valid in Belarus amounts to 210 euro per a ton, which results in exporting Russia's raw materials through Belarus without paying the corresponding duties to the Russian budget.
