In February of 2003 at Novosibirsk footwear factory "Vestfalika" it is planned to organize production of footwear sole made of relak - a modern material used by the world leading footwear producers. The equipment purchased in Italy is being installed in the factory shop by the experts, which passed a training course at Italian footwear enterprises. The closest relak sole producer is based in Moscow only. So Vestfalika will considerably reduce the production cost of its summer footwear, as the sole used for it will be manufactured in Novosibirsk (raw materials are to be bought from Italy). Flexible, light, elegant and extremely wear resistant relak sole is ideal for summer shoes. Scorching asphalt of the city street and beach sand will be no hazard for such a sole, it is practically not subject to attrition and does not split. In 2003 Vestfalika also plans to launch its own production of the shoe last on the equipment of Cesare Bertolaja and Donzelli companies (this equipment is used by the Italian shoemakers). Behind the Urals this technological line is unique. Vestfalika experts went through a complete training course led by the Italian technologists and are now finally adjusting the equipment so that to start the process of making the shoe last ( the raw materials are supplied from Tomsk). The line for last production completes the full cycle of manufacturing a set of details for footwear sole. There are no analogues of full cycle production at a separate enterprise.
