According to the results of 2002 light industry output in Tver region as compared with the previous year has grown by 15 %. Manufacturers' prices in light industry increased in 2001 by 0.7%, and in 2002 - by 8.4%.
As of January 1, 2003 all agriculture producers accounted for 342.9 thousand cattle heads (98% by January 1, 2002), including 165.2 thousand cows (95% by the beginning of 2002). The number of pigs
reduced by 4% and reached 127.7 thousand heads; of sheep and goats - by 6% and equals 82.3 thousand heads.
