Belarus-German footwear factory "Belwest" will mark its 15th anniversary together with a new partner - the Russian company "Politex". After the German partner (Salamander) left, Belwest created a new joint venture with Politex.
Belwest have been cooperating with the new investor for the last four years (Politex have been promoting footwear, manufactured by Belwest, at the Russian market). As a result in 2003 Belwest strengthened its positions on the Russian market. Over 4 months of 2003 sales on the Russian market made up 49% of total sales volume, whereas over the same period of the last year sales in Russia equaled 41% of the total output. The assortment of the manufactured production has widened (from 149 to 225 models).
