Review of Leather Shoe Fairs held in Moscow

Participation or visiting of special Leather Shoe Fairs for most firms is the major element of marketing policy aimed at promoting goods and services, establishing business contacts with new suppliers and buyers, developing supplies geography, collection and systematization of information on new trends in the field of design and technology. Of Russian and international leather and shoe fairs in Russia the most important ones are held in Moscow. And, despite similar topic, each exhibition has its own character allowing it to occupy its own place under the sun.
   International exhibitions "MosShoes" (footwear, accessories), "MosShoes Technology" (equipment, accessories) and "Mosleather" (raw hides, leather, leathergoods and garments) are held several times a year and are of interest mainly for enterprises engaged in international trade.
Among foreign participants most widely represented are suppliers of leather, accessories and footwear of low and medium quality from Turkey. The exhibition is held in the territory of Gostiny Dvor near Kremlin.
   International Fair "Obuv. Mir Kozhi", organized by the Russian "Expocenter"
and Italian company "Bologna Fierre" is aimed at those Russian consumer enterprises and trade organizations, which are interested in acquiring leather and footwear of medium and high quality. Latest edition of this event was recently (May, 27-30) held at "Expocenter".
Footwear and leather suppliers from Italy constitute the overwhelming majority of exhibitors.
   At International Fair "LeShow" held once a year in July suppliers of leather and fur clothes and other leather goods from Turkey and Italy constitute majority.
   Federal Wholesale Fair of Goods and Equipment of Textile and Light Industry is the biggest Exhibition of finished leather and footwear held in Russia. Local producers of leather, footwear and other leathergoods, trade organizations from many regions of Russia are most widely represented here. The Fair is held twice a year - in spring and in autumn on the territory of All-Russia Exhibition Center (former VDNKh of USSR).
