Approaching holidays in Europe affected local market of raw hides and skins. During last month we saw fewer business transactions being made.
By the end of July many wholesalers had closed down until the end of August. Raw material prices were somewhat lower, but not enough to speak
about price decrease. Despite lower demand from abroad (especially by the end of July) sellers preferred rather to keep the goods until the second
half of August than to sell at lower prices. Pigskins remained out of favor. Very few buyers of pigskins remained active in the local market and
it was quite difficult to find a buyer offering reasonable price. Nevertheless price reduction has stopped.
